This was a typical 2-story, 4-bedroom home, with attached 2-car garage.  The brick front and aluminum siding on the remaining elevations was also common fare.  The renovation included replacing the 2-car garage with a 3-car heated garage, adding a master suite above it, adding brick to the 1st story and stucco to the 2nd, and adding various other features like copper dormers, a cupola, and 2 balconies to name a few.  Landscaping was also part of the project.  Other added details are pointed out in the following captions.

front and side after renovationThe roof over the front porch and gable above were also added.  Limestone quoins cut into the brick corners and copper conductor heads and downspouts add to the architectural appeal.  The front balcony is accessed from the master suite.

side elevation after renovationThe arched brick openings in front were carried throughout the other elevations.

pergola and patio were addedThe pergola, classical columns, and complimentary brackets on the house and grill counter create a shelter and a well defined dining area.  Granite topped brick storage areas rest on full foundations.

“Acorn Custom Builders is the only builder I would trust for any scope building project that I might have in the future.
I'm a designer in the Naperville area, and have worked with many builders in the western suburbs as well as Chicago, and I've not found anyone that measures up to Packey A’Hearn.
Packey A’Hearn's attention to detail, and craftsmanship, is only surpassed by his honesty and integrity.
That combination is hard to find in this industry.
Acorn Builders has helped us bring our dream house to a reality.”

Thank You Packey!!!
