I began working as a carpenter doing residential home remodeling in 1976. After working for a contractor for 6 ½ years, I came to a crossroads in my life. Due to a series of  financial, physical and spiritual setbacks, I realized that serving God should be my first priority. Soon after, I quit my job and went on a sabbatical searching for the direction that God was leading me. While my health recovered, I  received spiritual direction from a good priest, and although still broke started my own business as a sole-proprietor with the name Acorn Remodeling. With serving the Lord as my goal, I was soon blessed with abundant work, dedicated co-workers, and best of all a wonderful wife and family. I continue to work with the following intention as my guide:

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men… Col. 3:23

In 1999, the business was incorporated and the name was changed to Acorn Custom Builders, Inc. Over the years we've had the privilege to work for many good and loyal customers. From our family to yours, thank you for your  trust and confidence!
